This Carnival row pyrography art piece has been hand burnt using the Peter Childs wood burner.
I started by sketching out all the Carnival row details I wanted on to the wood, making sure I was carful not to press to hard because I didn’t want to leave any indentations. Then I start to layer up the darkest areas first. Then I moved on to the mid-tones, I do this because it’s easier to blend from darker to lighter when burning. Once the mid tones are all blended in then I moved onto the lighter tones and then it was just the fine details to finish.
