Steam punk girl; This demonstrates the many steps of wood burning, from pencil drawing to finished artwork.
Starting by using a soft pencil you lightly sketch out your design, using as much or as little detail as you like. Be carful not to press in to the wood as this can make indents that you can’t get out.
After that I move on to burning the darkest areas. I like to fill out most of the black before moving onto the mid tones, this is just because I find it easier to blend from dark to light. As the burning tool naturally gets lighter as you move it along the wood.
